Our story
Fifteen years, one promise
Cascade Plumbing Co. began in 2009 in a Sellwood garage, with a used van and a founder who had spent a decade watching big franchise outfits sell homeowners repairs they did not need. The first Cascade rule was written on a whiteboard in that garage: show the price first, and never quote a number you would not pay yourself.
Fifteen years later there are eleven of us, eight trucks staged across the Portland metro, and the same whiteboard rule laminated on every dashboard. We still answer the emergency line ourselves at 3 AM. We still hand back the sewer camera footage whether or not you buy the repair. And we still lose the occasional job to somebody cheaper, which we have made peace with.
What has changed is the equipment. Acoustic leak location, thermal imaging, hydro-jetting, trenchless sewer lining and PEX-A expansion tooling mean the average Cascade job now involves far less cutting, digging and drywall than it did in 2009. That is the part of this trade worth being excited about: finding the problem precisely enough that the repair is small.

Insured, including your property
General liability and workers compensation coverage on every technician. If something in your home is damaged during a Cascade job, our insurance handles it — not your homeowner policy.
Employees, not subcontractors
Every plumber who knocks on your door is on our payroll, background-checked, drug-tested and in a marked truck and uniform. We do not farm residential service work out.
Continuing education
Our team trains on new code cycles, tankless systems, PEX-A expansion methods and trenchless sewer techniques every year. Oregon plumbing code moves; so do we.

Four promises we put in writing
A guarantee that lives only on a website is marketing. These four are printed on every Cascade invoice.
The on-time guarantee
You get a two-hour arrival window and a text with your plumber's name and photo when they are dispatched. If we miss that window without calling ahead, $50 comes off the job. No argument, no form to fill in.
The clean-tech promise
Shoe covers indoors, drop cloths under the work, the old fixture hauled away, and the site vacuumed. You should not be able to tell where we worked after we leave — except that it works now.
The written warranty
Two years on workmanship for standard repairs and installs. Ninety days on cleared main sewer lines. Ten years on whole-home repipes. Manufacturer warranties registered in your name, by us, on the day of install.
The honest-no policy
If your water heater has four good years left, we will tell you that and leave. If the job needs a specialist we do not employ, we will say so and give you a name. We would rather have the next ten calls than one oversold one.
